Bombay toast recipe – A quick, easy and simple breakfast made with just three ingredients:milk, eggs, and sugar.
When it comes to quick and easy tiffin or breakfast, bombay toast would be one of my choices. I cannot say how much I love this toast. Bombay toast helps to kickstart my morning routine. When I have it, then I would be full of vigor. Believe me, it rules me.
During my school days, I used to have this toast at least 2-3 times a week. It is very easy to make and all you need is 3-5 minutes. Even during my both the pregnancies, whenever I was hungry, I’ll just grab few bread slices and make bombay toast. It used to give me lot of happiness eating it. By the time, I have four of them, my stomach will become full.
If you are a beginner in cooking, this is the best recipe you can learn and make often at home. It is always good to start by mastering the basics and build on these key recipes.

Bread – 5 slices
Eggs – 2
Milk – 1 cup
Sugar – 2 teaspoon
Oil – 1 teaspoon
Note. The ingredients shown will vary with the original quantity.
1. In a bowl, put eggs, milk, and sugar and whisk well. Beat it well till sugar dissolves.
2. Now, dip the bread slices in the milk mixture. Soak the bread slices well. Toast the bread in a dosa pan. Drop oil on the corners of the bread. Cook the bread on both sides.
Now, bombay toast is ready!
- Sprinkle ghee or sprinkle little sugar on top.
