Brussels sprouts stir fry. A simple, healthy and easy stir fry that you can make in a jiffy!
Brussel sprouts are very good for health and easy to make. Few years ago, I did not even know how to cook brussel sprouts. I knew brussel sprouts are rich in nutrients and omega-3 fatty acids. Gj likes brussel sprouts so much, and he buys it very often. He tells me that brussel sprouts manages diabetes and vision.

Brussel sprouts (cut into small pieces) – 2 cups
Turmeric powder – 1/2 teaspoon
Chilli powder – 2 teaspoons (you can add more chilli powder to make the dish spicy)
Salt – as desired
Oil – 2 teaspoons
Note. The ingredients shown will vary with the original quantity.
Remove the outer covering of the brussel sprouts. Cut each sprout into 2 to 4 pieces. In a pan, heat two teaspoons of oil, and add the brussel sprouts. Fry for five minutes and then add 1/2 teaspoon of turmeric powder. Saute for three minutes. Now add chilli powder followed by salt, and stir fry for 5 to 6 minutes. When brussel sprouts become soft, switch off the stove.Now, brussel sprouts is ready to be served. Serve with kuzhambu, rasam, and curd rice.
- You can season with mustard seeds, urad dal and asafoetida but I have not used any of these.
