Cabbage carrot curry, cabbage carrot fry, dry spiced cabbage
When I find less time in the kitchen, I make this healthy dish. My family likes this dish very much. The lemon juice and coriander leaves give it a fresh taste. Thank you mrs. meena pathak for sharing this healthy dish.

Cabbage (grated) – 3 cups
Carrot (grated) – 1/2 cup
Sugar – 1 teaspoon
Lemon juice – 1/2 no.
Coriander leaves – for garnishing
Salt – as desired
Oil – 1.5 tablespoons
Mustard seeds/kadugu – 1/2 teaspoon
Cumin seeds/seeragam- 1/2 teaspoon
Asafoetida/hing/perungayam – 1/4 teaspoon
Turmeric powder – 1/2 teaspoon
Curry leaves – 5 to 6 nos.
Ginger (grated) – 1.5 teaspoon
Green chilli (chopped) – 1 no.
Red chilli (chopped)- 1 no.
1. Grate the carrots and cabbage. In a pan, heat oil. Add mustard seeds and cumin seeds. When the seeds pop out, add asafoetida, turmeric powder, curry leaves, ginger, green chilli, and red chilli.2. Now, add the grated cabbage and carrot. Reduce the heat, cover the pan, and cook for 15-20 minutes.3. Add the sugar and salt. Finally, sprinkle coriander leaves and lemon juice.Now, dry spiced cabbage is ready! Serve with kuzhambu, sambar, curd rice and rasam.
