Dahi Sev Batata Puri Recipe. A simple and famous Indian street food where small puris are topped with potato mixture, sweetened curd, chaat chutneys and sev.
Dahi Sev Batata Puri is simple and easy to make when you have the required ingredients at hand. You can make green chutney and sweet chutney a day before and refrigerate it. You can also make sev beforehand.
If you are going to make these chutneys and sev at the time of making this Dahi Sev Batata Puri, then you will take about an hour or so. I usually make them a day before so that makes my life easier and I can be done with Dahi Sev Batata Puri in just twenty minutes. My only work would be to boil the potatoes.

Golgappa/Small Puri – 24 Puris
Potatoes (boiled,peeled,medium-sized) – 3 nos.
Curd/Yogurt – 3/4 cup
Green Chutney – 1/2 cup
Sweet Chutney – 1/2 cup
Red Chilli Garlic Chutney – 1/4 cup
Coriander Leaves (finely chopped) – 1/4 cup
Nylon Sev (thinner variety of sev) – 1/2 cup
Red Chilli Powder – as required (optional)
Cumin Powder (roasted) – as required
Chaat Masala – as required (optional)
Black Salt or Rock Salt – as required
Note. The ingredients shown will vary with the original quantity.
1. Add sugar to the curd/yogurt and whisk it until smooth.2. Arrange the puris/golgappas on a plate. Break the puris from the center so that you can stuff it with mashed potatoes and chutneys. Then spoon it with mashed potatoes. Spoon little peas nearly half teaspoon of peas on all the puris. 3. Then spoon little Green Chutney over it. Now spoon Sweet Chutney over green chutney followed by thick sweetened curd.4. Now again sprinkle green chutney, red chilli garlic chutney and sweet chutney on top. Then sprinkle Red Chilli Powder, and chaat masala powder. Finally, sprinkle sev on top and garnish with coriander leaves.Now, Dahi Sev Batata Puri Chaat is ready! Serve immediately.
