Litchee lemonade recipe – A refreshing summer cooler made with litchee along with lemon.
My mom loves litchee/lychee a lot, as she used to have it when she was in Malaysia. Whenever, I go with my mom to market, when she sees sapotta fruit, she would tell me that lychee has also got similar appearance but would be quite small. I remember having it in Malaysia, but that was when I was just five year old. Those days, we get litchee/lychee very rarely in India.
I heard from my friends that these days during summer, you get litchee/lychee often. I hope most of you might have tasted the lychee fruit. Still, I can tell you that the white part of the lychee fruit tastes kind of sweet as well as refreshing. All you have to do is peel the red skin of lychee and have the white part of it. Make sure you remove the seed.
You can make a lot of recipes using litchee/lychee like lychee milkshake, lychee icecream, lychee lemonade etc. I am posting litchee lemonade recipe now, and others I will try to post them later. Hope you all like it.

Lychees – 15 nos.
Water – 3 and 1/2 cups
Lemon – 1 no.
Sugar – 1 tbsp (add more if desired)
Mint leaves – few (optional)
Ice cubes – few (optional)
Note. The ingredients shown will vary with the original quantity.
1. Peel the red skin of lychee and take out the seed. Do the same for all the lychees. Make sure you remove the skin completely, if not it would taste sour and inedible.
2. Transfer the lychees to a blender. Add water, lemon, and sugar and blend until smooth. If you still have bits and pieces of lychees here and there, it is fine. Garnish with mint leaves and ice cubes.
Now, litchee lemonade is ready! Serve chill.
- Make sure you remove the red skin of lychee completely. If not, it would taste sour and turn inedible.
