Paal Pongal Recipe, Milk Pongal, Vellai Pongal
Paal Pongal is a very easy and simple Pongal to make. It is generally made on the day of Pongal along with Sakkarai Pongal. You just have to cook the raw rice along with milk and water, and finally add salt to it for taste.
My grandmother would serve us Paal pongal and add few drops of Ghee to it. Then she will place either sliced bananas or Panjamirtham on top of it. It would taste so good when you eat it with ghee and panjamirtham. You will get a mixture of flavors. She will also serve the Paal Pongal with Pongal Kootu. When I am writing this post, it brings back all the good nostalgic memories that I had with my grandmother. Usually, this is the way Paal Pongal is made in my hometown.
