Last tuesday, my friend Vanessa came over and helped me in dressing up. She did my make-up and it came out so well. I was actually planning to make some broccoli dishes for lunch, but when I opened the fridge at the last minute, I was disappointed to see that there was n’t enough broccoli.
When I was thinking what to make for lunch, she came up with the idea of Spaghetti Aglio e Olio Recipe/Naked Spaghetti.
The name Naked Spaghetti itself called my attention. I was like….”NaKeD SpAgHeTtI?????” She said, “yes nithya, thats the name”. I requested her if she could make it for me, and she was happy to do it. She made the Spaghetti Aglio e Olio Recipe in no time may be in 10 minutes.
She wanted me to taste some. I told Vanessa that I will taste it later because of the make-up. Then I said yes and when I tasted it, I could not say no. I actually had more than three cups of the spaghetti and went actually little late to the place where I wanted to be on time. Though I ran little late with the make up, I feel the spaghetti was worth it.

Spaghetti (Uncooked) – 2 cups
Garlic Cloves (Minced) – 2 to 3 nos.
Chilli Pepper Flakes – 1 and 1/2 tablespoon
Black Pepper Powder – 1 teaspoon
Extra-Virgin Olive Oil – 1/4 to 1/3 cup
Salt – 3/4 teaspoon
Note. The ingredients shown will vary with the original quantity.
1.Cook spaghetti according to the directions on the package or bring the water to boil in a pan. Add a teaspoon of olive oil and salt to it. Then break the spaghetti and add it to the boiling water. The spaghetti should be well immersed in the water.
2. Cook until spaghetti turns transparent and soft. When the spaghetti is done, drain the water and show it under the cold water.
3. Then drain the remaining water and set it aside. In a large mixing bowl, add olive oil, minced garlic, chili pepper flakes, salt and pepper powder.
4. Then add the spaghetti to it and toss it well. The spaghetti should be coated well with oil. Finally, check the salt and pepper.
Now, Spaghetti e Aglio Olio/Naked Spaghetti is ready! Serve warm or at room temperature.
- Based on your preference, you can increase or decrease the quantity of salt and pepper.
