Stir fried shrimps recipe – I should say this stir fried prawns dish is a drool-worthy one. The taste is nothing less than fantastic.
I found the recipe of stir fried shrimps ten years ago, but I made an attempt at it just few months back. Initially, I wondered how this stir-fried shrimps dish is going to turn out, as it did not have the usual masala powders. This stir fried shrimps recipe is from chinese cuisine so soy sauce and few other ingredients are used in this recipe. I thought let me give it a shot. I cooked this dish in few minutes and had it along with curd rice.
Hmmm….as I write this post, my tongue is watering again. I love to have this stir fried shrimps dish again right away!
Shrimps/prawns/iral – 600 gm
Butter – 75 gm
Onions (chopped) – 2 nos.
Garlic pods (chopped) – 2 nos.
Ginger (chopped) – 1 piece
Soya sauce – 2 and 1/2 tbsp
Spring onions (only green part) – 1 tbsp (optional)
Vinegar – 1 and 1/2 tsp
Sugar – 1 and 1/2 tsp
Salt – as desired
Note. The ingredients shown will vary with the original quantity.
1. In a pan, heat butter. Add shrimps and fry for 5 minutes. Sim the fire and then add the ginger garlic paste.2. Add onions followed by soya sauce, vinegar, sugar, and salt. Fry well.3. When shrimps are cooked (will take about 7 minutes), switch off the stove. Garnish with chopped green part of spring onions.Now, stir fried shrimps is ready!!!
- Wash, clean, and devein the prawns well.
- Do not cook shrimp for more than seven minutes, shrimps would become rubbery.
- Do not add soy sauce more than required, if not the dish will turn salty.
