Mango kheer, mango payasam recipe. A delicious and mouth-watering dessert made with ripe mangoes.
Peel the mango and cut it into small pieces. Transfer to a blender and grind it smoothly.
In a thick bottomed pan, heat ghee and add the mango puree and cook for a minute. Now add sugar.
Cook until mango mixture thickens. Then lower the flame and add milk. Stir well and cook for 3 more minutes. Do not cook on high flame as the milk will curdle.
In a tadka pan, heat ghee and fry cashew nuts until golden brown. Set aside.
Add cardamom powder and roasted cashew nuts. Give a quick stir and switch off. Now, mango kheer is ready! Serve chill!
